What should you do if you suspect a case of discrimination?
If you suspect a case of discrimination falling under our authority, you have two options:
-
Report incidents to RailCom (may be submitted anonymously or with your contact details)
We will clarify any suspected cases of discrimination that you report to us via our contact form even if sent anonymously. If there is sufficient evidence of discrimination, we open a formal investigation. Alternatively, we can provide ongoing supervision [Link zur Seite über die begleitende Aufsicht].
We will keep any information provided confidential and will not approach any other parties involved without your consent. If we lack authority over the matter at hand, we will advise you to contact another agency for the purpose of clarifying the matter.
-
File an appeal/complaint to RailCom
RailCom generally initiates formal proceedings whenever an appeal/complaint is filed in the case of discrimination. RailCom then reaches a decision, e.g. ordering measures to be taken to eliminate the discriminatory practice.
Appeals/complaints may be submitted by post or online via the encrypted PrivaSphere messaging system.
