In what areas does your RU have a right to non-discriminatory treatment?

You have a right to non-discriminatory access to last-mile rail freight services. The following diagram shows which topics and processes are covered. Your RU enjoys non-discriminatory treatment with regard to the range of services offered, e.g.:

  • shunting
  • technical inspections of rolling stock
  • inspection of brakes
  • connecting or disconnecting locomotives
  • administrative services such as checking incoming/outgoing records in the cargo information system

  • basic price
  • discounts (if available)
  • prices for additional services

  • responses to enquiries provided within a reasonable timeframe

There is a legal obligation to publish information that your RU has a right to know, namely:

  • range of services offered;
  • information about the formal procedure including deadlines for order placement (or cancellation) and for issuance and signature of the service agreement;
  • pricing for the required resources and services, including any discounts
  • any other general conditions that the client should be aware of when procuring services (e.g. place of service provision).
