In what areas does your railway undertaking have a right to non-discriminatory treatment?

You have a right to non-discriminatory access to federally subsidised intermodal freight terminals. The following diagram shows which topics and processes are covered. Your RU enjoys non-discriminatory treatment with regard to the range of services offered in the following areas:

  • hoisting as the main service provided
  • additional services that are absolutely necessary to ensure the conveyance of goods along the logistics chain, e.g. temporary positioning or cooling of a transport unit
  • shunting to intermodal freight terminals and branch lines

Your RU enjoys non-discriminatory treatment with regard to pricing and discounts in the following areas:

  • basic price for handling
  • discounts (if available)
  • pricing for additional services

Grafik 2: Capacity allocation

Your RU enjoys non-discriminatory treatment with regard to capacity allocation, e.g.:

  • slot management for trains at intermodal freight terminal
  • stabling of freight wagons at intermodal freight terminals or between the train station and the intermodal freight terminal

Grafik 2: Confidentiality of third-party data

Owners/operators of intermodal freight terminals are required to keep your data confidential and may not disclose it to third parties.

There is a legal obligation to publish the terms of use, which contain information that your RU has a right to know, namely:

  • services offered
  • description of the facility
  • pricing and discounts
  • access requirements
  • capacity allocation
